A first look at I Found Your Buddy.
Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been putting I Found Your Buddy through its paces—from reporting missing and found pets to sharing sightings, establishing ownership and coordinating a reunion. Testing on real phones has helped us refine how finders and owners move through a handoff, revisit their cases and access their completed conversations. Our goal is to make those next steps feel clear and reassuring when someone is worried about a pet.
We’ve also been working on the safeguards behind those screens: stronger protection for photo uploads, more reliable cleanup and an account-deletion process that considers the other people involved in an active search or reunion. These details may be less visible, but they matter. I Found Your Buddy is still in development, and each round of testing brings us closer to a dependable way for neighbors to help pets find their way home.
